Incoming Kindergarten students should be able to:

1. Verbalize needs independently without being prompted (asking for the bathroom/water, stating a problem, etc.)

2. Eat snack/lunch without being prompted (doesn’t need reminders to finish eating).

3. Practice writing first and last name.

4. Understanding of some letters and letter sounds.

5. Some fine-motor development (cutting, coloring, gluing).

6. Please send your child in with velcro shoes if they do not yet know how to tie laces.

7. Some recognition of numbers and counting skills.
