Dear Parents,

    Welcome to First Grade and a new school year! My name is Mrs. Joanne Ferrara and I will have the pleasure of being your child’s teacher this year. This is a very important year in your child’s education. In first grade, we learn so many important skills such as reading, writing, spelling, and math skills. We learn the skills that are needed to be successful learners including : study skills, organization, responsibility, problem solving and citizenship.
