What is music..

The philosophy of music is the study of the whole person.  Music with its various areas helps children in  growing educationally.  Whether it be the melodies or rhythms, music enhances this growth.  Music can be used across the curriculum to help achieve a child’s educational success.  The evolution of music is taken into consideration when instructing a child.  Music engages emotions which can be used effectively in a child’s educational process across the educational spectrum.

I believe in having the students understand music history as well as music theory. The use of technology is also used in music classes to reinforce various lessons.  And…of course the children learn to sing songs throughout the school year.
