Spelling Words for the Week of September 25 – 29
Spelling Focus: Inflected Endings
Most plural nouns end in -s. Words that end in sh, ch, tch, s, ss, or x
need to have -es added to them to make them plural. These letters
add another syllable to the words, as in the word boxes.
To make the word that end in a consonant and the letter y plural,
change the y to an i and add -es.
