Welcome to S.T.R.E.A.M.

The purpose of this class is for students to see the value and the power of understanding that S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) are the building blocks of our society. In addition, adding Art and Religion to the mix (thus S.T.R.E.A.M.) creates a more humanistic approach to this learning.

This week 1/15/24 – 1/19/24:

  • S. PreK will be learning about and, growing, winter gardens.
  • S. K will be hearing about, and hopefully spotting, some snow birds.
  • A. M. Grades 1 and 2 will be studying hieroglyphs (Egyptian writing and arithmetic).
  • R. Grades 3 and 7 will delve into comparative religions, studying first the creation stories in each.
  • E. A. Grades 4 and 8 will be drawing plans for engineering and building edifices out of tissue boxes, straws and other household objects.
  • T. M. Grades 5 and 6 are working on a “Bon Voyage” project involving plans for trips to all 7 continents, including currency changes, metric measures, etc.
